Effective date: March 27, 2026

1. Overview

Clikker is a metronome and practice tool for musicians. This privacy policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and when limited information may be handled by third-party providers such as Google AdMob and the platform billing system.

Clikker is designed to work primarily on-device. The app itself does not require sign-in and does not operate its own cloud account system.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Clikker stores app data locally on your device to provide core functionality. This may include:

  • App settings and preferences
  • Selected sound profile
  • Custom sound profile paths for audio files you choose
  • Saved sequences, playlists, and related practice setup data
  • The local state of whether ads were removed through an in-app purchase

This information is stored using on-device storage such as app preferences and a local database. It is not uploaded to a Clikker-operated server by the app itself.

3. Audio Files and Media Access

If you create a custom sound profile, Clikker may access audio files that you explicitly choose through the device's file picker. The app uses that access only to load and play those selected files as part of your sound profile setup.

Clikker does not scan your media library broadly or upload your selected audio files to a Clikker-operated server.

4. Advertising

If ads are enabled in your version of the app, Clikker may display banner ads served by Google AdMob. When ads are requested or shown, Google and its partners may process data such as device identifiers, IP address, diagnostic data, and ad interaction information in accordance with their own privacy terms.

Clikker does not directly control how Google processes advertising-related data. For more information, review:

5. In-App Purchases

Clikker may offer an in-app purchase to remove ads. Payment processing is handled by the app store provider, such as Google Play or Apple. Clikker does not receive or store your full payment card details.

The app may receive limited purchase information needed to unlock or restore the purchase, such as purchase status and product identifiers.

6. Permissions and Device Features

Depending on platform and feature usage, Clikker may use the following device capabilities:

  • Internet access for ads and store-related services
  • Media or storage access for audio files you explicitly choose
  • Wake lock behavior to keep the screen awake during active use
  • Optional vibration or haptic behavior while the metronome is running

These capabilities are used to support app features and are not used by Clikker to build a user account or a private profile of you.

7. Data Sharing

Clikker does not run its own analytics or account backend based on the current app implementation. Limited data may be handled by third-party platform services when you use ads or store billing functionality.

Examples of third-party providers involved may include:

  • Google AdMob for banner ads
  • Google Play Billing or Apple in-app purchase systems for purchases and restorations

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Practice data stored by Clikker remains on your device until you remove it, uninstall the app, or clear app data from your device settings. Custom sound profiles, playlists, and sequences can also be removed within the app.

Any data processed by third-party services is retained according to those providers' own policies.

9. Children

Clikker is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children through a Clikker-operated backend. If ads are enabled, third-party advertising providers may have their own rules and obligations regarding children’s data.

10. Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time to reflect app changes, legal requirements, or service provider updates. When the policy changes, the effective date on this page should be updated.
